Bio:
Max has always been a quiet person. He doesn’t really ever feel the need to talk. When he was younger, he’d go weeks without saying a single word. He just feels like he’s ignored, so why bother talking. He has 6 older siblings. He doesn’t have enough room to get a word in. In school, he’s never the kid to raise his hand, he avoids talking as much as he can. He doesn’t feel comfortable around other people. Except for Thalia. She’s the only person he feels like talking to, ever. They don’t talk too much, but he sits with her at lunch, and in assemblies. He’s glad that he doesn’t have to talk to her much. She’s just as comfortable in the silence as he is. She’s probably as close of a friend as he’ll ever get. And he’s fine with that.

Reaction to his fortune:
Max has been moping about it since he got his fortune told. It was on a whim, and he regrets it. Leave his comfortable shell where no one can hurt him or talk to him? He would rather swallow hot lava. Everyone around town seem to be either too mean or talk too much for his liking. Max isn’t a good conversationalist and he doesn’t want to become mean like some of the people around Burlington. Maybe if he meets someone who hates talking as much as he does, and doesn’t mind just sitting and thinking then he will talk to them. But other than that, he doesn’t see himself changing one bit.
